Improving your skills with kiteboarding lessons in Newport Rhode Island

NewportRIWhether a beginner or an experienced kiteboarder, you should take the opportunity to perfect riding skills with a professional instructor. There are several great kiteboarding beaches around Newport: Foggland point is one of the most popular spots in the state, and one of the windiest sites NOT on Cape Cod; Sandy point beach is a nice east-facing beach; the 1st, 2nd, 3rd beach in Newport – 1st and 2nd beach are south facing, very large and are right on the ocean, while 3rd beach is east facing, smaller and in a cove so it gets much smaller waves.

There are two schools that offer kiteboarding lessons in Newport RI: Sky KiteSurfing School and Real kiteboaring Northeast. At Sky Kitesurfing (SKS) a training for beginners starts with kite-handling lessons on land. Then you continue the lessons on water, get some experience and work on details. You pay from $150 to $385 per lesson. You may use the school equipment or just bring your own.

Real kiteboarding Northeast organizes lessons on all levels, from beginner to pro. However, advanced riders must book the lesson earlier to make sure that appropriate coach will be available. You can also learn how to kiteboard in light winds or try additional kite flying, tuning, trick analysis and board riding. Prices are similar to those at SKS.
